Article in Irish Anglers Digest

It is claimed in an article published in the December issue of Irish Anglers Digest that large parts of the Irish bass legislation are not enforceable due to problems with the drafting of the legislation.

Irish Bass became aware of this issue several weeks ago and has been corresponding with the IFI, Failte Ireland and the Department of Fisheries on the matter. The whole problem was in fact a misunderstanding of the legislation.

We can now confirm that there is no problem whatsoever with either the legality or enforcement of the bass laws.
