    Best bass fishery in Europe under threat from commercial angling

    "The battle is on this week to protect the best bass fishery in Europe from exploitation by commercial fishermen.
    A reshuffle in the Irish government has seen a new Fisheries Minister appointed who anglers fear is sympathetic to trawlermen’s calls to reopen a fishery which has been closed since 1990."
